How to lose weight?
Lose weight 10 kgs in a month is a lot to loose . And it’s not healthy as it will lead to loose skin, and other issues .
Cardio, Floor Exercise, strict diet, bowl of salad and fruits shall be of help. If you still want the details I could share them with you as to what I’m following. I’ve lost 8 kgs in 2 months. Average of 4kgs/ month which is considered healthy.

As soon as you wake up
1 Apple (Green or Red)
1 Glass of Water.
51 Surya Namaskars(Start with 11 in the first week, 21 in the 2nd, 33 in third and 51 by fourth week)
Nike Training club – beginner work out. (30 mins)
this app is available for both iOS and Android.
Brisk walk/jog – If you like this then i could suggest something to lose weight
5km first week, 7.5km 2nd week, continue 7.5 km in 3rd week and you might want to try a 10 km in 4th week.
Be very careful while you jog or work out, because the pressure on the knees and legs is the highest.
I have myself taken a day’s break sometimes and performed floor exercises as an alternative.
Wear a good pair of shoes, which have a sturdy and a strong sole, if not it leads to unnecessary injury that will crop up some other time.
Please track your walk/jogs with Endomondo app or Nike Plus app.

Breakfast (9:30 am):
2 Spoons of Flax Seed Powder mixed well in 1 Cup of Hot/Warm Water. you might get Flax seed powder in Natures Basket, Food Hall, or any other gourmet outlet. If you are in Bangalore Nilgiris store sources great quality Flax Seed Powder. (costs about Rs 50 – 60 for 250 gms)
2 Egg Whites and 2 slices of brown bread. you could use any chutney and eat it as a sandwich.
1 Plate Poha.
1 Plate Upma. (usually after 1.5 months of regular work out this gets very heavy as it is made out of Rawa/Sooji so i avoid it, but to each his own, so you might want to test this yourself)
2 Plain Parathas
You could have a few nuts… by few i mean really few. Just to keep the metabolism up. 🙂
1 Bowl of Dal
1 Bowl of Sabzi
1 Bowl of Salad..basic stuff like cucumber, carrots, tomato etc, nothing fancy.
1 cup of Green tea. (if you have a tea bag, you could have two cups instead)
1 Bowl of Fruits.
7:30 pm (max 8:30 pm)
1 Bowl Dal or Sabzi.
Just a few things that would help you in general –
Even if you feel you are full, (which flax seed powder will make you feel) don’t skip any meal at all.
I did not intend to, but happen to skip breakfast two times and it lead to an
unusual blood pressure level, i sweat a lot and had to rush to eat something.
So it was a lesson learnt, dont skip any meal.
Flax Seeds is an amazing intake as it has fibre and keeps your digestive system(and you) in great shape.
Sleep for 7-8 hours, and stay away from phones, ipads, tvs, laptops, an hour before you sleep. Sleep with lights off. this helps as it gives you a deep sleep to lose weight, which is necessary, and is a crucial part of the game.
If someone tells you dont have ghee during this time, dont believe that.
Ghee is an important resource for your body, and adding a bit of it while heating chapatis or in your hot bowl of dal wouldn’t do any harm.
What I have given up :
1. Rice – COMPLETELY!
2. Egg Yolk, Omelettes
3. White Bread
4. Fried Food.
I wouldn’t suggest you follow the same in terms of Rice. I gave up because I had always being having it, needed it in at least one meal. And this is more of a crazy idea to kill the desire.
But i would say, have it in limited quantities.
Khichadi is superb, with a teaspoon of ghee it serves as an amazing source of nutrition.
I have read and watched quite a few books and videos of Rujuta Diwekar who is a dietitian and nutritionist.
And shes absolutely amazing at her study of understanding the body and foods that we as Indians should consume.
Stay close to your traditional food( i dont believe in oats and Kellogs and whatever ready to eat breakfast options are available) cooked food is the best, avoid junk, if possible cook your own meals to lose weight.
Stay Hydrated. About 4 liters of water a day.
Consider these only as suggestions to lose weight, every persons body functions differently. And you can create your own way as time passes, you will learn more from your body than anyone else! 🙂
